The Problem

Most forums and message boards eventually degrade into a flame war. They take on an “I’m Right, Your Wrong” mentality with two sides battling it out over ideals until eventually someone is compared to Hitler. It was this kind of mentality that Riled Up was looking to capitalize on.

The Solution

Master Web Design created a new type of Social Network Web Application from the ground up which allowed users to create lively debates and be rewarded in participating in the debates of others. One of the most innovative features is the site’s concept of Friends and Enemies where taking actions earned users points towards becoming an enemy, or an ally, of another user.

The Ally / Enemy feature of the site drives much of the content participation. Participation can often lead to conflicting results whereby User A is an ally of User B while User B is an enemy of User A… this can often create some interesting interactions.
